Detailed description
Porcine pseudorabies is an acute infectious disease of pigs caused by the porcine pseudorabies virus (PrV). The disease is endemic in pigs. It can cause miscarriage and stillbirth of pregnant sows, sterility of boars, a large number of deaths of newborn piglets, dyspnea and growth arrest of fattening pigs, which is one of the major infectious diseases that harm the global pig industry.
