Herpes simplex virus (HSV) is a kind of common pathogen that seriously endangers human health and causes skin diseases and venereal diseases. There are two serotypes of HSV: HSV-1 and HSV-2. HSV-1 mainly causes infection above the waist, and the most common infection sites are the mouth and lips; HSV-2 mainly causes infection below the waist. HSV-1 can cause not only primary infection, but also latent infection and recurrence. Primary infection most often causes herpetic keratoconjunctivitis, oropharyngeal herpes, cutaneous herpetic eczema and encephalitis. The latency sites were superior cervical ganglion and trigeminal ganglion. HSV-2 is mainly transmitted through direct close contact and sexual contact. The latent site of the virus is the sacral ganglion. After stimulation, the latent virus can be activated, causing recurrent infection. It is difficult to isolate virus, detect PCR and antigen in such patients, while antibodies (IgM and IgG antibodies) in serum can be detected.

Detailed description

Test steps:
Step 1: Place the specimen and test assembly at room temperature (if refrigerated or frozen). After thawing, fully mix the specimen before determination.
Step 2: When ready for testing, open the bag at the notch and take out the equipment. Place the test equipment on a clean, flat surface.
Step 3: Make sure to use the ID number of the specimen to mark the equipment.
Step 4: For whole blood examination
-One drop of whole blood (about 30-35 μ 50) Inject into the sample hole.
-Then immediately add 2 drops (approx. 60-70 μ 50) Sample diluent.
Step 5: Set the timer.
Step 6: The results can be read within 20 minutes. Positive results can appear in a short time (1 minute).
Do not read the results after 30 minutes. To avoid confusion, discard the test equipment after interpreting the results.
