Detailed description
It is divided into pathogen diagnosis and immune diagnosis. The former includes the examination of microfilaria and adult worms from peripheral blood, chyluria and extract; The latter is to detect filarial antibodies and antigens in serum.
Immunodiagnosis can be used as an auxiliary diagnosis.
⑴ Intradermal test: it can not be used as the basis for diagnosing patients, but can be used for epidemiological investigation.
⑵ Antibody detection: There are many test methods. At present, indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT), immunoenzyme staining test (IEST) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for soluble antigens of adult filarial worm or microfilaria malayi have high sensitivity and specificity.
⑶ Antigen detection: In recent years, the experimental research on the preparation of monoclonal antibodies against filarial antigens to detect circulating antigens of B. bancrofti and B. malayi respectively by ELISA double antibody method and dot ELISA has made preliminary progress.
